Hi all!
I wanted to introduce myself. I'm a research associate with
UNC-Charlotte out at the NC Research Center. I'm writing proteomics
software for our 128 node RHAT cluster. I'm developing in C++/MPI &
mono/ASP.NET under Ubuntu. I've got about 25 years development
experience in windows and other O/S's, but I'm relatively new to Linux
(not counting my early Solaris years). I'd be willing to give an
overview of application development environments or parallel processing
if someone is interested.
Concerning the list of suggested topics, I'd be interested in learning
more about the intricacies of subversion. I am also interested in
getting more involved in contributing code/bug fixing and triaging with
respect to gnome apps. If there is anyone with experience in this area,
I'd love to talk to you more.
I was wondering if there were any other Ubuntu users out there? Several
of us in the Ubuntu loco were wondering if there might be any interest
in a small get together of a social nature? It's doesn't have to be
Ubuntu only. Just a meet and greet.
I was thinking maybe a Saturday that doesn't conflict with any regular
meeting. Any interest?
