To the tools it provides, and yes, I was much happier once I got to a 
prompt. I've shelved it for now.. once I got to where I could make a 
connection from PHP and Perl, the requirement to do a job in Oracle
died. The clients IT people realized MySQL was already working in their
place, and they didn't even know it, their reluctance to allow
our simple little application to use it died. They feared supporting
something that required as much support as thier Oracle systems for
a simple little application.
