Anyone interested in carpooling to POSSCON? I'm all set to attend this Saturday and can comfortably fit three passengers in my Jeep Cherokee. Since it is estimated to be a 2 hour drive, I will be leaving my house in Matthews at 7 am.

Hit me up at this email address or call me at 704-517-6285 if you are interested in carpooling this Saturday.

Thanks,
Don

Three quick things for all of you that have registered
for POSSCON 2009:

1. On behalf of the Conference
Committee, thank you very much for registeringand for your attendance. We've tried to bring to
you the best speakers and open source information we possibly can. We
sincerely hope you enjoy the conference and find it well worth your
time.

2. Please invite friends and colleagues to join
you at the conference. The deadline to register is
close-of-business THIS THURSDAY, APRIL 16. On-line
registration can be done at www.posscon.org

3. If you can't make it to the conference, please
let us know immediately. We have limited seating and a lot of
people registered. We also need an accurate count for lunches,
etc.

In addition to the above, please keep a few
things in mindas you plan to join us in
Columbia:

1. The
conference will take place in the same location as last year - Amoco Hall in the
Swearingen Engineering Center on USC's campus. The address is 300 Main
Street, Columbia, SC. Signs will be posted around the building to help you
to the event site.

2.
Parking will be available around the Swearingen Center in metered and other
spaces. Since it is Saturday, feeding meters will not be required.

3.
Registration begins at 9 am and will run until 10 am. We encourage
you to get there as early as possible, check in, and enjoy coffee/drinks and
breakfast pastries as you network.

4. As you
check in at the front table, you will be issued a name badge and a conference
program.

5. The
conference itself will begin promptly at 10 AM with a Welcome, Introductions,
and the Keynote Address. If at all possible, please try to be
registered and in your seat by 10 am.

6. The
conference is FREE and lunch will be provided. We've tried to make it
possible for everyone to attend.

7.
Wireless internet access will be available in and around Amoco Hall. Feel
free to bring a laptop.

8. We
want and are encouraging as many people as possible to attend. Please take
a minute and invite a friend or colleague to join you. There is no
marketing tactic in the world more powerful than an endorsement from
someone you trust, and we realize this. In addition, what better way to
spend a Saturday??

9. Please
note there are two distinct tracks this year - one for business-oriented
attendees and one for developers/programmers. We've tried to expand our
focus a little and make it appealing to everyone.

If you have any
questions this week as we get closer to the event, please contact us directly at (803) 240-1213. We want you to
leave USC's campus feeling like you got something out of the experience.

Also, please
follow us on Twitter @ POSSCON.

Thanks again for
registering for POSSCON 2009!
