I've given this some thought... And I was wondering, kinda hoping, that
you'd bring the books, materials, HERE!!!!
To my, little, apartment, (I've got "wireless"-a Linksys system, little, but
It works...may even be servicing people outside my apartment, lol)...
And I'd like to "husband" the library...please feel free to pass this offer
On to ... whomever ...
WITH THE IDEA that:
Maybe, MAYBE, the dudes/dudettes(I'm married: HAPPILY!!!!), might, MIGHT
Come over and teach me LINUX!!!!
As I understand, (from checkin' around), that it is, seems, to be
Not "disappearing" but, rather, becoming the
PROVINCE OF THE ENLIGHTENED...who, I figure, will be ... or will...
RULE!!!! In the coming...age(????)...
RULE!!!! As the LINXUS system seems to be becoming, (as this, poor "reader"
Reads it), the backbone...or at least an ENDEMIC PART of THE INFORMATION
AGE!!!!
As I see it: I'd be sittin' on, (reading, edifying myself for),
A GOLD MINE!!!! AND having yous guys come over to "grow!!!!"
And I've got a good-enough laptop to (I Think) really take advantage of
it!!!! (Please bring your own laptops -- as I find mine "sacrosanct,"
right?)
I could also use a 160-200gig IDE (laptop) hard drive if anybody's got one,
As I've been told it takes 100gigs (HDD) to load the Ubuntu OS,
(completely)...but I'm not putting the arm on anybody: I'm fine as is...
While I admit: I am so new to LINUX THAT I'M RAW(!!!!)--just thinking about
it...I smell a GOLD MINE!!!!
...and everybody's threatenin' to "throw it in the dump" for (G's) sake!!!!
What are we: MEN OR MICE???? (my mice, my "posse" (4) might take objection
to this)
I'd at least TAKE CARE OF the books/materials!!!!
EVEN THOUGH I'M JAMMED FOR SPACE!!!!
Disadvantages?: I've been called "crazy," (and worse)...but I kept "my act"
clean!!!! (and am the original "Question Authority" guy -- which may explain
a lot!!!!)('am currently CONTESTING "subjugation" (with mind-blowing
"treatments" -- with doctor's knowledge -- if not outright "consent.")
There: There are (ALL) my "skeletons" in the closet.
Advantages: I am so friggin' "HONEST" and "LOYAL" and "CIRCUMSPECT," etc.,
That (while I was "nuts"), I was a (promoted) security guard for over 2 1/2
YEARS!!!! (and helped set up our small company's "Dipatch" (co-ordinating
with, then, CPC, now CMPD's interactions with those activities).
(AnD it was (blank) HARD!!!!)
This would be a piece of cake: "Librarian"????!!!!
And "Student"????...WE've even got a (good) security system in this
building, which means the books/materials/(heck:the people) WOULD BE
SAFE!!!! (We're the best-kept secret in Charlotte-and I'd appreciate it if
you guys'd maintain that.)
Maybe I'm (you'd consider me) "dumb as a bunch of rocks," but
I exempted the first math requirement and passed Calculus at UNC-CH based on
What I learned in prep-school!!!! (a small, local, now-bankrupt, (too
"liberal????" attempt at education)... .
I've tried to (here) "vette" myself...as well as provide a venue for (what I
would consider to be "LIFE" -- a-la the "salons" of Gertrude Stein/Ernest
Hemingway/Picasso/gourmands/intellectuals of The West Bank (of the Seine!!!!
PARIS!!!!) where meaningful discussions took place, intelligent FREEDOM!!!!
And I'm BEGGING yous guys to "come around!!!!"
THIS PLACE IS PERFECT!!!! I could probably set up "BOOKSHELVES" and I have
enough couch-space, etc., for a (stuffed-in) TWENTY (people at a time)...

Please PLEASE DON'T PASS ME BY!!!! DEAR MR. EVANS: PLEASE send to charlug!

There are seven large plastic containers full of books. I would guess
there are 300-400 titles.
Might want a bigger back pack!
