I realize that I've been "out of the loop" on things CharLUG, but....

The Charlotte Linux User Group has been inactive for several months.
Unfortunately, the two folks who had been managing the LUG no longer able to
devote the time and effort needed to keep CharLUG active and vibrant.

We are looking for new blood to revive the LUG. You don not need to be an
Linux 'expert' to help manage CharLUG! We are a Linux User Group for folks
of all levels of expertise...novice, hobbiest, somewhat expetrienced and
professionally involved with Linux and F/OSS. One of our primary goals at
CharLUG is helping people become acquainted with Linux and F/OSS and helping
them learn as they discover what a great operating system Linux really is.
If you have an interest in Linux and/or F/OSS and would like to help CharLUG
continue to serve the Linux and Free/Open Software community in the
Charlotte Metrolina area, please let your interest be known on the mailing
list or in an private e-mail to webmaster at charlug.org. This email address is
being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it

As our old meeting place at CPCC is under construction, we are also looking
for a place to hold monthly meetings. The requirements are few: Available
on Saturday mornings for a couple of hours, have internet access (wireless
preferred) and able to accommodate 10 to 30 people. An overhead projector
would be a bonus!

Thank you for your interest in Linux, Free/Open Software and CharLUG in
particular.
