[Charlug] Question about cable modem and dhcp

Thanks for all the replies and suggestions. I think I will try a script 
that checks to see when this happens and then resets the interface. I 
will try to get it to log the times so maybe I can see a pattern. I do 
know that the MAC address of the actual modem ( as reported by linux) is 
slightly different from what is on the literature the TW tech gave me. 
There is no name or other info on the modem as to the manufacturer 
either (Windows didn't have a clue; I used linux to get the info). I 
probably have an 'old' modem too.
