[Charlug] Question about cable modem and dhcp

Right.. well in that case it sounds like you might have a funky connection
to the cableco.  Next time it happens see if your cable modem is in the
process of reconnecting to the network on that side. If so.. I'd have
someone out to check your cabling.. signal levels etc... maybe they can find
something.  Since this is your first time using a cable modem it's possible
the physical connection isn't up to spec.

It could also be that their network sucks... can never rule that out
completely. I've noticed issues with mine just in the last week or so.. and
it had been stable for months prior.
