Unsolicited Advice: make it clear that it's an invitation and include:
Who (anyone interested, just core team.. geeks that do PHP upside down)
What (casual meeting, presentation.. business meeting.. LAN party)
Why (2009 Kickoff.. Linus Torvalds is in town..)
When (Including time)
Where (including address, instructions)
Note that some of us arcane Linux users
can easily click on links in our text based
web browsers..
And don't call me a nerd. I'm a geek, I get paid for it. :)
Wish I could make it, I'm mosly just a lurker from Chattanooga
that sometimes does a little work in Charlotte, but none lately. :(
Which leads to the last suggestion: PLAIN TEXT.
Because real e-mail is text, not CSS laden HTML
in Verdana (is that on my Linux machine? Only if I installed
the MSFT Core Fonts and other tweaks)
and everyone will read plain text properly.
Hope ya'll have a wonderful meeting. :)
